Today was a good day.
First day of SPRING!
I took Winston hiking for the first time….you’ve not seen anything worthy of the word champion till you see a pug jumping rocks on the James. But once we got home…

(snoozefest)
So I hit the kitchen….
I made my own ricotta for the first time (and plan to from now on!)
Then some black bean burgers with lime sour cream - thanks to an awesome recipe from my sis.
and now I’m about to take part in brown butter & sea salt rice krispie treats that I’ve been dying to devour for hoooours.
back to the grind tomorrow, but for now life is grand :)
So (some) people are always telling me “Kristin why do you do that to your poor little pup” and I retort “I promise he likes it” I mean this kid smiles and trots around like he is hot shit. And the other day I got my proof with the picture above.
Winston got a Snuggie for Christmas from Joey, I put in on, prepared myself to die of laughter, and what happened? No smile, no trotting. Winston ran into my closet and hid.
So point 1: my dog does enjoy his clothes
point 2: but there is a limit, the Snuggie is too shameful even for him
GPOY-a day early.
He wants to sit in my lap allthefuckingtime.
Whatever, it’s love.
On the first night of Hanukkah Winston staged an Easter egg hunt with Little Debbie Christmas Tree cakes. Jews and Christians alike faced confusion. Trees were found, in the bathroom, on the couch, under the coffee table and even this special on my pillow. There was also a mysterious empty package in the bedroom doorway. Religious symbolism abounds.

Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi, 1983 (dir. Richard Marquand)
this is my favorite of all the Star Wars movies.
In light of David Cross’s most recent declaration, there is only one man who can help us now.
